CNdb Language Policy

I am providing this document as a guide to what language should and should not be used in describing nude scenes at the Celebrity Nudity Database.

The mission of CNDB

The Celebrity Nudity Database is a free online reference of celebrity nude scenes intended to help the general public and movie fans find movies they would like to watch (or not watch) by using reviews of the nude scenes from those movies provided here. In order to be the best and most complete reference on the internet, we need to be accessible to the most people possible. This means using language that is considered acceptable by the general public.

Censorship?

I am the last person I know to condone censorship. I do, however, believe that it is possible to provide superlative and accurate descriptions of nude scenes without using rude, obscene or explicit language. We are, after all, movie reviews and not an online sex forum. If there is some scene or idea you wish to convey that you simply can't figure out how to appropriately express you can email me at englishlessons@cndb.com and I will help you.

Guidelines

Here are some examples of what is allowed or not allowed. Please do not let these limited examples get in the way of your artistic expression. I do not want to be in the business of having to list every word that is acceptable. In the end, just use good judgement.

Examples of what is good Not so good
genitals, penis, pubes, pubic region, vulva, butt, ass, etc... cock, pussy, etc...
made love, went at it, got it on, had sex, etc... fucked
performed oral sex, felatio, cunnilingus, went down, blow job, etc... sucked off, ate out, etc...
descriptions that would help someone determine if they would like to buy or rent this movie graphic details about bumping, grinding, pumping, licking, poking, sticking, etc...

So, what happens now?

Any entries in the database that are in gross violation run the risk of being modified or deleted. I will also be reviewing entries already in the database. If you find any reviews you have questions about you can email them to me. I don't want to do this. I hate the thought of playing the role of censor, but I believe it is in the best interest of the database to do so. Thank you for your cooperation.
