One would think a movie about late 1800's courtesan, Michelle Pfeiffer, would present many opportunities for contextual nudity. And the movie does present such opportunities which are not taken. Too much a chick flick. Michelle gives the appearance of some nudity, but basically from the rear view waist up making the viewer believe she is completely topless. At 3:55 mark DVD, Michelle bathing, stands, bare back from waist up and is quickly covered by a towel draped over her by a maid. No hint of breasts as she leaned forward. About the 12 minute mark, love scene, Michelle astride Rupert Friend removes her nite gown. Her bare back is covered by waist length hair. She appears to have on black panties (as in modern style not of that time). Again no hint of breasts as she leans forward to kiss Friend. About the 14:24 mark, Michelle is laying face down on a massage touch (outside on a country estate). A large towel covering her from waist down as her breasts are on a small pillow. As Friend passes by, he gives her a smack on her butt which she returns the favor by smacking his rear. But as she lifts up to smack him with her right hand, a clear view (in pause) of the body tape covering her nipple. Rupert Friend plays the title character, Cheri, son of courtesan Kathy Bates (Madame Peloux) and love interest of Pfeiffer. Most of what little nudity there is features his buttocks. At the 51:55 mark, buttocks exposure as he has sex with Felicity Jones in a spoon position. At the 1:15:50 mark, laying in bed covered by a sheet, he gets up to show he is nude, standing up, back side showing from buttocks up. About the 3:23 mark DVD, Rupert Friend is laying bed between two unnamed (uncredited?) female performers awaking from the night before. All are topless from the waist up. The actress on the left is laying on her stomach. The actress on the far right is on her back breasts/nipples exposed. Like I said a chick flick.

Just a hint in a sex scene

Felicity Jones playing the bride, Edmee, of Rupert Friend (Cheri), at about the 51:55 mark DVD is a sex scene with Friend. They are laying on their right sides, with Friend behind Jones in a semi spoon position while Friend's very bare back side is thrusting into her apparently bare buttocks. After Friend finishes he rolls to his left side (the camera has panned up towards his chest), Jones is exposed still on her right side from the waist up. Given the camera angles while nothing is really shown of her, it does seem she is very nude (at least her back side). So no stars but just to post that she apparently has been nude in a movie.
