How do we add nude scene reviews to the database when we don't know the names of the performers? Is there an accepted way to do this?

I notice there is an "Uncredited Actress" in the database, but it has only one movie listed, Colors.

There is also an "Unknown Actresses", also with only one movie, Night of the Demons 2.

Interestingly, while "Unknown Actresses" shows up in search results, it does not show up in browsing under either U or A. Madonna also shows up in search results, but not in browsing. Is there a technical issue related to performers with only a single name?

This was a topic many years ago when I first joined and IIRC our buddy Bush League was at the center of it. He had created an "unknown actress" credit and started applying it liberally. Many people waded in with pros and cons (within the actual reviews!) which ultimately led to the formation of the Message Board as a place to air these disagreements. I think the majority of the unknown credits (and resulting squabbles) have been deleted by the original mod staff.

I have mixed feelings about an "unknown actress" category. On one hand it's useful to lend more scope to amount of nudity within a movie but the sheer volume of unknowns would eventually be too much for a single entry. Plus some might eventually change status. Director commentaries have helped me ID a few unknowns. There could also be lazy reviewers who throw actresses into this category when a tiny bit of research could've put a name to a face. Celebrity Movie Archive had a lot of these awhile back.

But I'd like to see maybe a special "unknown" section for ID purposes, like many sites do.

Well here's an idea that won't require any changes to the CNDB software. (Maybe this is what you meant, I'm not sure.) That "special 'unknown' section for ID purposes" could be simply another forum. If you want to report a nude scene but don't know the name of the actress, then instead of posting it in the database, you post it in that forum. The title of the thread is the title of the movie.

Good luck getting our absentee landlords to implement that suggestion. It would take them about five minutes, but that's five minutes more than they want to spend on this site.

Well, this is the CELEBRITY nudity database. If an actress is unknown, then, by definition, she can't be a celebrity. And if she IS a celebrity, then obviously somebody must know who she is.

Either way, unknown people do not belong in a celebrity database.

You're playing a silly semantic game, sinnema. Yes, the word "celebrity" is in the name of the site, but that doesn't mean that nude scenes from unidentified actresses aren't of interest to a lot of the people who use the site.

And even a lot of the named actresses no one's heard of. If we use Sinnema's definition of celebrity, we'd be left with Heather Graham and Halle Berry and not much else. This wouldn't be much of a forum would it?

It seems to me the term "celeb clip" has come to mean "movie nude scene" around the internet. That also seems to be Mr Skin's definition.
