We are completely redesigning the website & forum. There will be new features as suggestions & requests come in. Please let us know how we can make the experience on this website better for you.

We currently do not have a firm time-line on completion date, but we will keep everyone posted on progress. Updates on progress will be on the sticky inside Suggestion Drop Box area.

Please note: any suggestions posted in other areas besides the specific suggestion drop box area will most likely be missed.

Wow. I thought this forum was abandoned. You'll keep the clip swap forum right though?

All data is going to be merged over. After the redesign, we will be cleaning up the data in both forum area and CNdb itself. There are no plans to remove areas -- but mainly going to add areas. Please don't take that as a "rock solid" statement on the removing part... Things can always change.

CNdb is back on the priority list. Expect plenty of new things, including a fresh new look on both CNdb and forum

I'll tell you what kept me coming to cndb, even before I got into the forums.
You know how to alphabetize properly.

I always get annoyed at sites that list people according to their first names. Maybe I'm showing my age, but that's not how I was taught in school.

That is actually pretty amusing to me. One thing we are going to address on CNdb is it's lack of usability. One of the biggest is the search/browse function. We are going to give CNdb a swift kick into 2011 technology. Our data will be much easier to use & update after we get done with it.

One thing we may fix before we even launch the new CNdb is browsing 0-9, not just A-Z (that made me laugh because it is so stupid to miss that...)

Keep in touch and let us know what else we can improve on. We are open to any and all ideas.

That fills me with dread .Any website I've seen in recent times "updating" itself has usually made itself a less nice place to visit and I've consequently visited them a lot less .

No worries at all. The base of CNdb will not change. We will be just giving a nice face lift, adding features that are requested, and placing a bit more focus on the database & forums itself.

As long as it's not overkill. This forum has no moderation, constant spammers, upload stealers, no a great core of users (if you get me), and I still come here daily. I just like the simplicity of the forum.

True. We'd like to kick the spammers out and maybe have the power to do so ourselves if need be to make it timely. But please don't improve it to the point of making it unusable or - make it 1% forum and 99% ads. That will make people disappear in a hurry.

The forum has received the first round of updates.

a) Avatars have been fixed, max size is 80px x 80px. Any larger and it is resized automatically.
b) Reporting feature has been made ready for use. Please use this when you believe forum guidelines/policy have been broken,
c) Is this clean OR WHAT? We will be doing more minor work on the forum as the week carries out. We should not have any down time, but if we do... an announcement will be made prior to forum(s) being locked.
d) We are looking into a rating system, please let us know if this is a wanted feature or just something "cool" we can add.
e) During the merge, we did experience a tiny hiccup, your old passwords MAY have been transferred incorrectly. This is EASILY fixed by submitting a "Forgot Password" request.

There will be more changes to come, but these are the major ones that have been requested and attended to.
