I would like to know if anyone has any scenes in mind where the actress concerned has actually regretted doing a nude scene, hoping everyone would rather forget it happened.Preferably where the actress herself has actually stated she regrets the nudity.i can think of a few myself.

Phoebe Cates:Paradise
Helen Hunt:Waterdance
Hunter Tylo:The Initiation
Teri Hatcher:Cool surface

Regretted?

Traci Lords:

Everything before 1986.

Alyssa Milano hates having nudes of her on the net ESPECIALLY if she's not paid for them. Fastest way to have a lawsuit brought against you: have a pay website with her nudes without paying her.

Katie Holmes regretted showing her tits, says she won't do it again.

Sharon Stone has regretted the leg crossing scene, even though without it she wouldn't have a career.

Julie McCullough regretted her nude stuff in Playboy and the Movies when it got her fired from Kirk Cameron's show when he suddenly got religion.
(Once again, she probably would never have had a career without it).

Charlotte Rampling has stated many times over her long career that she regrets having done so much nudity, but she continues to do it even in her fifties! (She more than likely would have had a career without it)

Although I don't know if she ever admitted it in public, but I am sure Kristine DeBell regretted the XXX stuff she did in "Alice in Wonderland". Was it a coincidence that her career fizzled when the producers released the home video?

Not so sure about the latter. Kristine's "use by" date had already expired by the time the Alice video came out in any case. It was the only lead role she ever had. Her role was more typically "heroine's friend," as in "TAG: The Assassination Game" (a film I'm almost alone in kinda liking, but I probably watched it a zillion times on HBO in the early 80s). She was on "Y&R" but never in a central storyline. Without looking it up, it seems to me she played 2 different characters (one a teen prostitute) on that at different times, but always a supporting character.

She was in one mainstream film that made money ("Meatballs"), but in a minor role, but I think she did little or no filmi nudity after "Alice," aside from her Playboy-connected photo work. (Well, she had sort of a lead I'm forgetting in "Cheerleaders Wild Weekend," though it sat on the shelf for years before finally going to video in the 80s. Looks like it was probably made in 1978. And she left the skin to the supporting actresses.)

Her appeal was young/cute/blonde, and as she got older, there were younger, cuter, blonder girls around, going after the same roles. deBell knocked around the biz for 8 or 10 years, I suppose, and was past 30 at the time she stopped getting work. That probably has as much to do with it as anything else. Hard to say her career "fizzled," since I don't see much sign it ever caught fire in the first place. She was pretty, and an OK enough actress, but never got a real break. There have been thousands of those.

Julianne Moore regretted showing her pubic hair in "Short Cuts." She claims she did the nudity as a favor to the director, an old friend.

Brooke Shields says she regretted doing "Pretty Baby" and all her underaged nudity.

I've mentioned this one before elsewhere but it riles me so...

Kate Beckinsale pretends she has never done nudity. I've seen her comment on this in more than one interview. The nudity in 'Haunted' is clearly a body double, but the nudity in Uncovered isn't (though sadly I've only seen caps). I presume the fact that she pretends this never happened implies she regretted it.

Jeez, she's even body-doubled in her nude paintings in that one!

Jacqueline Bisset sued the producers of "The Deep" saying that they weren't supposed to use the wet "T"-shirt scenes where you could see her breasts in the movies. After it was a big hit and she made another movie, she sued the producers of that movie for using a body double (Gee, Jackie what did you think they would do?)

I saw a Greta Scacchi interview in which she regretted the nude shower scene in Coca Cola Kid (1985).

Was her role in "Caligula" part of the sexual harrassment suit Marjorie Thoreson (aka Anneke diLorenzo) brought against Gooch in the late 80s? I vaguely remember (or seem to remember) her claiming this footage made it impossible for her to get legit mainstream work afterward.

Maria Schneider, who appeared in "Last Tango in Paris (1972)", supposedly went into a tossing fit when she asked for butter in a restaurant and the waiter replied, "No, Parkay". Referring to her anal sex scene.

"Phoebe Cates:Paradise

Phoebe Cates is a little more complicated than that. She regretted doing the film because sex scenes with a very poor body double were inserted into it. She said she had no problem doing the swimming scene.

Where did you hear about Helen Hunt?

Sean Young regretted doing her scene in Love Crimes. She said she felt the whole movie was exploitative. I'm still happy she did it cause it's the only film she went full frontal.
