All files are attached to the Content Data Network, one click on a new file cause the server closest to you to copy and serve that file thus the next person has nearly a immediate loading file if in that area.

Security and Redundant hardware.

we have twin mirror servers, all servers have not 1 mirror but 2.

one is a active/fail meaning if one server goes down the Mirror server starts serving immediately for 0 downtime.

the other mirror system is not quite update as the first mirror system, and will kick in if the mirror was to fail for some reason. this system protect against hacks, and malicious files, and does not allow uploads

In the works:
we in process of adding virus scanning technology to our file transfer service. this is to soley protect our user from malicious files hidden in Rars and zips

Mediafire is by far the best. It's fast, and I haven't encountered any limits yet as a free user.

I'm not sure about jdownloader as a download manager. Lately, at least mine and several other (googled the problem), downloads have been disconnecting midway. Fileshare, rapidshare, hotfile, megaupload it didn't matter which host.

allows multiple download at the same time

Wupload is a good site .. fairly quick downloads and not long to wait for free downloads
