Ever see a nude scene where you were surprised someone actually agreed to perform that scene?

I know many of you will probably think it is quite tame, but I was actually surprised that Sandy Richman agreed to her role in Ilsa, She Wolf Of The SS.

Alexis Dziena in Broken Flowers .

Even in independent movies when you hear nudity it's usually just topless and that scene could have easily been done just topless but for whatever reason Alexis Dziena was willing to do it fully nude

Laura Linney in Maze .

Though not a particularly huge star she had a good career going in films and theater so no particular pressure to take that Maze role and to do the scene fully nude .Again could have got away with showing her topless

In the opposite vein after seeing the movie I'm surprised that Kate Bosworth originally signed up for Afterlife

There never was any reason given for her departure so my guess is that she thought she could get the nudity down or even eliminated and when she realized that wasn't going to happen she left

Meg Tilly in The Girl in a Swing. She had completely avoided nudity her entire career but said that this movie was so important to her that she willingly stripped for it. The movie was a complete mess and bombed even as an art film so badly that it's fallen off the face of the Earth.

You know what? I actually liked "Girl in a Swing". VERY haunting theme and surprising/depressing ending. As a parent now, I still think about it.

I do agree that Meg Tilly's nude scenes were (pleasantly) surprising (especially the full frontal underwater), and that previously she had avoided nudity. And it was back to body doubles with the "Body Snatchers" remake.

I never watched the TV show but that was one of the best first nude scenes a reasonably big name actress has ever done. Unfortunately she was hypnotized and ruined by Scientology Cruise after that.

What about Julie Andrews in SOB?

Saw it in the movies and everyone yelled "Put it on!"

I have seen several gratuitous nude scenes that added absolutely nothing to the story, and I wonder why the performer bothered doing it.

One such scene was Jill Clayburgh changing clothes on camera in "An Unmarried Woman". Her breasts looked like a pair of bananas growing out of her chest.

Another was Ryan O'Neal showing off his rear in the shower in "Oliver's Story".

Gonna have to disagree with you, I thought she had a awesome rack for a gal her age when she did it. Unless there were a bunch of gay guys in the theater I don't see how anyone couldn't have liked seeing her fun bags. The rest of the movie sucked I will have to admit.

Charlotte Alexandra in "Une vraie jeune fille," particularly the worm scene.

Amazed any actress agreed to star in that film at all, much less such a beautiful one.

Helen Mirren and her lover nude in the back of a truck full of slabs of meat in The Cook, the Thief, His Wife and Her Lover (1989). In fact, all the nude scenes in the movie were pretty hard to stomach. And yet it's a mesmerizing film.

Everyone has their own taste, I guess. Personally I found much of this flick to be a turn-off, but the frontal nudity of Alan Howard and Helen Mirren was very good.

I have read that Mirren is actually a nudist.
