Feedback on new website:

CNdb Website is brand new! Some things to look for:
- The new website will have features available to those that "deserve" it. Build up your contributor status by posting in our forums and writing reviews.
- Already a major contributor to CNdb? We thank you! You have access to add movies, add celebrities, biographies, and movie plots.
- You will notice on the top of each celebrity & movie page, there is a "report" feature. Please be kind and help us clean up the data (and keep it clean!). Use the report feature properly.
- Forum & CNdb are now working as one. Creating a CNdb Account is easy -- just view the menu bar under "Reviewers."
- We have updated our Forum Policy, so please read it at : viewtopic.php?f=6&t=18053

In this thread, we would like to have the opinion of our members. So fire away!

Let us know the good, the bad, and the ugly.

All I can say is the 'new reviews' section SUCKS now. The old version was the best feature of the site. Sometimes change is a bad thing.

I don't mean to be blunt... but that comment doesn't help very much -- we did receive a request in our drop box regarding the reviews... let us know if you agree.

If you have input -- let us know about it. We will be making constant changes to the website to make it just that much better.

We value everyone's opinion and look forward to the suggestion box filling up.

I agree with film lover. I have been keeping up with new reviews being posted for like five or six years now. Can you add a feature back in that shows the last 25-50 most recent reviews? I guess to help those completionists among us.

Not sure about the 50 number, but we will definitely expand the "New Reviews" section... not too sure what we will be adding in there -- but a new version will be on it's way.

I don't know whether this new form will be more user-friendly, but I have posted several corrections and updates when you had the old format, and should have been recognized as a senior reviewer long ago.
I could not remember my login name so (temporarily) created this new one.
So how do I obtain the credit that was due me years ago? (I do have either the emails or suggestions for corrections I sent to you over the last five years.)
Or must I start over from scratch again to be able to add credits and corrections?

(I also have no idea how to add a signature.)

Sorry, I didn't mean to be vague with my comment. But I thought the old way you had the 'new reviews' section was perfect and shouldn't have been changed. The old section was done in chronological order, marked if you had read the review and listed the actress/actor being reviewed. The new version of it misses at least two of those features and possibly the chronological order too, I'm not sure yet. Just to reiterate, but the older 'new reviews' section was 100% perfect the way it was.

However, you should note that we changed the "Levels" of access. For the most part, only Junior + have "real" access to the features. You are rewarded whether you post on our forums or on the website itself. Anyone can create a review (registered users). For different levels, you can see them on our forum

New version of this site has comment panes that are so large as to be visually unwieldy. Like them better when they were smaller and there was less dead space on the page.

I'm actually not sure as to what you mean... are you talking about the forum or main website? Reviews area? Topic/Thread posting?

I liked CNDB much better before the changes. I liked being able to delete posts no one answered so I would not be a board hog.

I haven't decided yet. I am blocked from posting much of what I want which makes it a Catch 22 to get my status up. I am wondering though....
If I post something here in this forum, and someone picks it up...?
No, that would accomplish the information transfer but it would not help ME move up in rank.

Any suggestions?

I'm almost certain you couldn't delete posts before either... we'll never allow that

If you want something of yours deleted for whatever reason, let us know by reporting it or something.
