nudity reviews for Frisk member submitted
Based on the shock-novel by Dennis Cooper, "Frisk" is a relatively tame (and lame) adaptation about a gay serial killer. Gunther, a no-name who I don't believe has acted since making this film, plays the main character Dennis, the serial killer. The book, if anyone has read it, is extremely graphic and grotesque (both sexually and violently), so it came as a surprise that in only one scene is there frontal nudity. In that scene, Gunther steps up from a bed and stands naked for probably five seconds or less.
There's nothing more that I hate than carefully avoided frontal nudity, especially when it's as obvious and apparent as it is here. For such a raunchy book, the film feels like a Disney adaptation. Even though I didn't find this actor attractive, carefully avoided nudity sucks.
I may have said in another review for this film that there was only one instance of frontal nudity.. well.. I was wrong. Alexis Arquette, who plays a gutter-punk guy that Dennis, Parker Posey, and her boyfriend pick up off the street to kill, is stripped naked, where you briefly see a frontal shot.
